מָעוֹן I, [selection; cmp. בִּירָה,] residence, esp. the Temple; המ׳ by the Temple! Tosef. Keth. III, 2. Tosef. Ker. IV, 4. Num. R. s. 12 שמת מְעוֹנְךָ בעליונים thou hast placed thy residence with the uppermost(angels). Koh. R. to XII, 7 מעוני טהור my residence (in heaven) is pure; a. e.
מָעוֹן I, Maʿon, name of one of the heavens. Ḥag. 12ᵇ
