    Hif. - הִלִּין (cmp. קָהַל) to rise against, murmur, rebel. Ex. R. s. 25 כיון שׁהִלִּינוּ היה וכ׳ when they rebelled, it would have been necessary that the anger (of the Lord) &c.
    Hithpol. - הִתְלוֹנֵן same. Tosef. B. Bath. VII, 9 המִתְלוֹנְנִים והמרגלים וכ׳ the rebellious (Num. XIV, sq.) and the spies … took no share &c.
