*כּוּבִּיתָא, (כְּבַב, cmp. כּוּב) a little globe. R. Hash. 24ᵃ כ׳ דעיבא וכ׳ ed. (Ms. M. 1 כּוֹכְבִיתָא, Ms. M. 2 a. Ar. כוכיתא) they saw merely a globe-shaped cloudlet (which, they thought, was the moon).
