טְוָות, (stem טה, טו, cmp. טהר; cmp. Arab.ṭavi) [clearness, emptiness,] (adv.) with an empty stomach, without meal, fasting. Dan. VI, 19.—Pes. 107ᵃ, v. בִּית—Ber. 55ᵃ כל חלום בלא ט׳ Ms. M. (ed. ולא) no dream is to be feared in which fasting plays no part; [Ar.: every dream has some reality, except that which one dreams while fasting].
