    Hif. - הֶחֱצָה to order a division, to assign half, divide. B. Kam. 34ᵃ פחת שפחתתו מיתה מַחֲצִין בחי Ms. M. a. Rashi (ed. שפחתו) half of the loss of value which death has caused, is collected from the living animal; Y. ib. I, end, 2ᶜ מחצין את הנזק the loss is divided.
