חִימּוּם m. (חָמַם) 1) warming, sitting in the sun. Gen. R. s. 48 הח׳ יפה וכ׳ basking in the sunshine is good for a wound; Yalk. ib. 82 החמין (corr. acc.). —2) heated state, excitement. M. Kat. 24ᵃ בשעת ח׳ at the moment of excitement (immediately after a death in the family). Yoma 18ᵃ לידי ח׳ to sexual excitement (pollution). —3) a spice, v. חֲמָם.
