זָדוֹן, premeditated, conscious sin, opp. שְׁגָגָה. Ab. IV, 13 a scholar’s error in teaching עולה ז׳ is accounted for a wilful wrong. Ker. 25ᵇ, a. fr. דבר שזְדוֹנוֹ כרת a sin which if wilfully committed, is punished with extinction, Sabb. 69ᵃ דבר שחייבים על ז׳ וכ׳.
