הָדָר m. (b. h.; preced.) 1) adornment, crown, beauty, glory. Ab. Zar. 24ᵇ ברוב הֲדָרֵךְ in the abundance of thy glory. Gen. R. s. 39 (ref. to Ps. CX, 3) מֵהֲדָרוֹ של עולם וכ׳ from the glory of the world (the East) have I consecrated thee; (Yalk. Ps. 869 בהררי קדש בהררי של עולם וכ׳ ‘in the mountains of holiness’, among the mountains, i.e. the distinguished, of the world &c.).—Y. Succ.
