דְּרֵי II דְּרֵי II, (cmp. דלי, a. b. h. נָשָׂא quoted in preced. art.) to carry away, to lift, bear, sustain. Sabb. 66ᵇ a big ant דדָרֵי מידי which is carrying something. Meg. 28ᵃ ד׳ מרא וכ׳ was carrying a rake over his shoulder. Ib. אתא … וקא ד׳ מיניה ed. (Ms. M. a. Ar. שקיל) R. Ḥ. came and took it from him (to carry it himself). Ib. אי רגילת דדָרִית במתך דְּרִי if thou, in thy own place, art accustomed to carry (such things), carry it. Ab. Zar. 44ᵃ it was a magnetic stone דהות דַּרְיָא ליה Rashi (ed. דרא, Yalk. Ms. II Sam. to XII, 30 דליא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 9) which sustained it (held the crown suspended).—Ab. Zar. 32ᵃ ודָרוּ בהדייהו and they carry (the fragments of soaked clay vessels) with them (Ms. M. ודרו ליה במיא, v. תְּרִי); a. fr.—Sabb. 77ᵃ כל חמרא דלא דרי וכ׳ a wine which bears not an admixture of three (measures of water) to one, is no wine; B.
