דִּיסְקָא, (δίσκος) disc (always used in the sense of tabula, tabella),
דִּיסְקָא, tablet.—Pl. דִּיסְקֵי. Men. 40ᵃ ליכתביה אד׳ (Rashi אדיסקי׳, Ms. R. 2 a. K. אר׳) let it be published on public tablets (inscriptions; comment.: in official letters from Palestine to Babylon, v. infra).
דִּיסְקָא, official document, letter. B. Kam. 112ᵇ נקיט ד׳ מב"ד וכ׳ (M. M. ריסקא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) he held a letter from the Supreme Court (authorizing him to take depositions of witnesses). Kidd. 70ᵃ ד׳ דזמינותא Ar. (ed. פיתקא דהזמנא, פיסקא) summons to appear before court. Ib.ᵇ, v. דַּסְקָא.—Pl. דִּיסְקֵי. Men. 40ᵃ, v. supra. Gitt. 36ᵃ their signatures in the shape of figures (as a fish, bough &c.) were known to the public בדסקי (Rashi בדיס׳, Ar. בדייס׳) by the official letters which they issued.
