*גַּלְיָא II, (גלי) revelation. בית ג׳ a place or temple for oracles. Ab. Zar. 46ᵃ היו קורין אותה בית ג׳ קורין אותה בית כריא when they (the idolators) call a place Beth-Galia, Israelites should call it Beth-Kharia, v. כַּרְיָא; Tem. 28ᵇ.—Meg. 6ᵃ (ref. to Zech. IX, 7) זה בית ג׳ שלהן that means their temple. V., however, גַּדָּא a. גַּלָּא.
