בַּרְיוּתָא, (v. בַּרְיוֹנָא) rebellion, defiance of the law. Sot. 19ᵇ; 20ᵃ מחמת ב׳ (refusal to drink the searching water) in defiance, opp. רתיתא, ביעתותא. *[Targ. Prov. XXV, 20, prob. to be read בְּדִיחוּתָא; ed. Lag. כַּרְיוּתָא. The entire verse is a corrupt combination of two versions.]
