*בַּרְבַּיִי, (abbr. of בַּר בַּיִת) intimate, familiar. Cant. R. to V, 15; Lev. R. s. 25 אזיל ומתעביד ב׳ (Cant. R. ברבוי, some ed.) he grows to be like an inmate of the house.
