בִּינִיתָא, a small fish (collect.). B. Kam. 19ᵇ חמרא דאכל ב׳ an ass that swallowed fish (something unusual). B. Mets. 79ᵇ bot. ב׳ אכרסה תקלא according to the size of its belly is the weight of fish (if you buy by weight, have the belly first removed; diff. in Ar.). Ib. 59ᵇ bot. (prov.) if one has a hanged one in his family, say not in his presence זקוף בי׳ hang the fish up; Yalk. Ex. 349 בינתא (corr. acc.); ib. Lev. 617 בֵּנִיתָא.
