בְּדַק, to cure the body by means of a purgative. Ned. 50ᵇ הוה בָּדִיק נפשיה וכ׳ purged himself with &c.; a. e.—Part. pass. בְּדִיקtested, sure, known. Y. Sot. V, 20ᶜ bot. לא הוות בדיקה לי was unknown to me (I had not experienced). Taan. 23ᵇ לא בדיקתו לי (not בדקיתו) ye are unknown to me (as to your honesty).—בְּדִיקְנָא I am sure, I know. Pes. 111ᵇ בדיקנא ביה במר דלא וכ׳ I am sure you do not know (Ms. M. ב׳ ליה וכ׳, Ms. 2 Oxf. בקינא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note). *Ḥull. 32ᵃ לא הוה בדיקנא ביה וכ׳ Ar. Var.
