אַזְהָרָה f. (זהר) 1) forewarning, prohibition, esp. the explicit prohibition (‘thou shalt not’) in the Bible, required for punishing trespassers. Y. Peah I, 16ᵃ top א׳ ללה"ר a biblical admonition against calumny. Num. R. s. 7 (play on zara Num. XI, 20) והי׳ לכם לא׳ it shall be a warning to you.
