אָגַד II, (√גד, v. נגד a. גדל), Hif. הֵגִיד to stretch, prolong, postpone. Erub. 21ᵇ; Pes. 87ᵃ (Ar. s. v. גד, v. however אָגַד I) שמֵגִידוֹת וכ׳ who postpone (reserve) sexual intimacy for their husbands. Y. Keth. V, 29ᵈ bot. אני מֵיגֶדֶת וכ׳ I will extend (spend all the time of) my widowhood in my husband’s house.
