אִבּוּלָא, אִיבּוּלָא, esp. (corresp. to h. מבוא העיר) city gate-way which is opened for wagons &c.; fortified place where judges sit &c.; cmp. שַׁעַר.—M. Kat. 22ᵃ begin to count the days of mourning מבבא דא׳ from the time ye turn your faces from the city gate-way (to go home while the corpse is carried to the grave-yard).
