מְאִיסָה, (מָאַס) rejection, contempt; use of the verb מָאַס. Lam. R. to V, 20; Pesik. R. s. 31; Yalk. Is. 332. Lam. R. to V, 22 (ref. to מאס ib.) אם מ׳ לית היא סבר וכ׳ if it be a rejection, there is no hope (of a reconciliation), but if it be anger, there is hope.
