Wil., as Ar., תרקיא) the heavens look like a beaten metal plate; Yalk. ib. 19 נראין כבשעת יציקתן כמו תרקיא they look always as at the time they were cast, like &c.; (Y. Ber. I, 2ᶜ bot. תרקיע מלמד שעשויין כטס tarkiʿa intimates that they are like foil).
