תּוּנְבָּא, (תנב to become rigid, Brockelm. Lex. Syr.) stupor, loss of sensation. Targ. Job XXXIII, 20.—Yoma 83ᵃ ת׳ הוא דנקיט ליה stupor seized him (so that he does not feel the lack of food). Nidd. 37ᵇ ת׳ בעלמא … לה it is merely stupor that seized her (so that she feels no pain).
