צִבְיוֹן, (preced. art.) desire, pleasure. Keth. 111ᵃ (ref. to צבי, Ez. XXVI, 20) ארץ שצִבְיוֹנִי בה מתיה חיים וכ׳ the dead of the land in which I have my desire, shall be revived &c. (v. צְבִי 1). Gen. R. s. 10 (ref. to צבא Job VII, 1) וכל צִבְיוֹנוֹ של וכ׳ and all the desire of man refers to what is earthly. Ex. R. s. 1 (play on הצבבה, I Chr. IV, 8) שעשה צביונו וכ׳ he did the will of the Lord; a. fr.—Ḥull. 60ᵃ כל … בקומתם … ברעתם … בצִבְיוֹנָם נבראו all the works (animals) of creation were created in their full-grown stature, with their consent, with their pleasure (in their mission, with ref. to צבאם, Gen.
