פְּסִילְיָא, (v. next art.) an inferior kind of beans (cmp. פַּיְישׂוֹנָא). Ab. Zar. 38ᵇ היא המטליא היא פ׳ וכ׳ Ar. (Ms. M. פסליא; ed. פשליא) the same law applies to gentile preparations of hemṭalia, psilia and sh’ʿitha, v. הֵמְטַלְיָא a. שְׁעִיתָא. Y. Bets. I, 60ᵈ bot. תורמוסין ופ׳ lupines and psilia (inferior beans); Y. Sabb. VII, 10ᵇ ופְסִילְיָין and the inferior beans among them (v. Bab. Sabb. 74ᵃ bot.).
