פַּלְמַנְטָר, (frumentarius) military purveyor, commissary, imperial agent (v. Sm. Ant. s. v. Frumentarius). Y’lamd. to Deut. III, 23 sq., quot. in Ar. משה היה פַּלְמַנְטָרוֹ וכ׳ Moses was the Lord’s special agent (v. Num. XII, 7). Yalk. Lam. 1001 פלמנסר של מלך (corr. acc.)—Pl. פַּלְמַנְטָרִין. Y. Ber. I, 3ᵇ bot. למלך ששלח שני פ׳ וכ׳ Ar. a. ed. Lehm.
