עַלַּת, (עלל) [turning about,] ladle. Erub. 53ᵇ (in enigmatic speech) ע׳ נקפת וכ׳, v. נְקַף I. Ib. [read:] יעדי כתר … ותיקפי ע׳ בכד וכ׳ (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) shall the crown (stopper) of another (jug) be removed, that the ladle may float like a ship &c.?
