עִיטּוּר עִיטּוּר, עִפּ׳ m. (עָטַר) 1) crowning, wreathing. Ber. 51ᵃ, v. preced.—[Y. ib. VII, end, 11ᵈ, read: עָטוּר, v. עָטַר.] Bicc. III, 10 ע׳ הבכורים מין וכ׳ the basket of first-fruits must be wreathed with plants different from those offered. Y. Ab. Zar. I, 39ᵈ משם עיתור (corr. acc.) as a decoration in honor of an idolatrous deity, v. פְּרַקְסִיס.—Pl. עִיטּוּרִין. Y. Succ. I, 51ᵈ bot. ותולה בה ע׳ וכ׳ and he suspended from the ceiling of the Succah wreaths (decorations) of material which may be used for covering. Y. Bets. I, 60ᵇ top עִיטּוּרֵי סוכה the decorations of the Succah; Y. Sabb.
