*סִיסְמָא, (pl. of σύσσημον, v. LXX Jud. XX, 40 for h. fixed signals. Midr. Sam. ch. IX, beg. אילולי שעשו ס׳ ביניהן unless they had agreed upon certain signals between themselves (by which they could find each other on the road).
