סָבוֹרָא m. (סְבַר I) 1) a reasoner (opp. to learned, v. גְּמַר II). Y. Sabb. III, 6ᵃ הדין ס׳ דלא יליף וכ׳ that reasoner who has neither studied nor attended scholars. —2) (adj.) imaginative, fanciful. Y. Kidd. III, 63ᵈ bot. דחגיי אינשא ס׳ הוא (not אינשי) for Ḥ. is a fanciful man (whose traditions cannot be relied upon).
