מָן I, portion, food. Num. R. s. 12 (play on א̇ר̇ג̇מ̇ן̇) the sun שיצרו הקב"ה לארוג מן וכ׳ whom the Lord has created to weave (ripen) food for creatures; ואין מן אלא פירות וכ׳ man means fruits and food (with ref. to וימן, Dan.
