לְפַת, Pa. לַפֶּת as preced. Pi. Bets. 16ᵃ מידי דמְלַפֵּת בעינן (Alf. דמִילַּפֵּת) something used as a relish is required, ופת לא מְלַפְּתָא (Ms. M. מילפת, Alf. מִילַּפְּתָא) whereas bread is not used for that purpose.
