לְבִישָׁה, (לָבַשׁ) putting on, dressing, opp. פשיטה undressing. Yoma 32ᵃ מה ל׳ טעון וכ׳ as well as dressing (the priest’s putting on his priestly garments) requires sanctification (washing), so does &c.; Y. ib. III, 40ᶜ מה ל׳ מקדש וכ׳ as well as he must sanctify himself for dressing &c. Lev. R. s. 22 לְבִישַׁת כלאים התרתי וכ׳ (I forbade thee) to wear clothes of mixed material, as an offset I permitted thee &c.
