כַּרְבַּלְתָּא, helmet, crest. Ber. 7ᵃ; Ab. Zar. 4ᵇ כי חוורא כ׳ דתרנגולא when the crest of the cock is white. Erub. 100ᵇ [read:] שונרא לישמטיה לכַרְבַּלְתֵּיה דההוא תרנגולא וכ׳ (v. Rabb. D.
