יְבָמָה יְבָמָה, v. יָבָם) sister-in-law, esp. y’bamah,the widow of a brother who died without issue. Yeb. IV, 10 הי׳ לא וכ׳ a widow must be neither discharged nor married before three months after her husband’s death. Ib. 1 החולץ לִיבֶמְתּוֹ he who discharges his sister-in-law.
