חֲנוּכָּה חֲנוּכָּה, inauguration, dedication, festival of dedication; esp. Ḥănuckah, the eight days’ feast commemorating the rededication of the Temple after its desecration under Antioch Epiphanes, lasting from the 25ᵗʰ of Kislev to the second (or third) of Tebeth.
