חָבִיב I חָבִיב I, (חָבַב) beloved, dear, precious; favored, privileged. Ab. II, 10 יהי … ח׳ עליך וכ׳ let thy neighbor’s honor be as dear to thee as thine own. Ib. III, 14 ח׳ אדם וכ׳ man is privileged (favored of God) in that he was created &c.; a. v. fr.—Pl. חֲבִיבִים, חֲבִיבִין.
