חֲבוּלְיָא, (חבל; v. Nöld. Mand. Gr. p. 146, sq.) interest, usury (h. נֶשֶׁךְ). Targ. O. Ex. XXII, 24 חֲ׳ ed. Berl. (oth. ed. חִ׳). Targ. Ps. XV, 5; a. e.—M. Kat. 28ᵇ (in a funeral dirge) מותא כי מותא ומרעין חי׳ death is death (paying a debt), but sufferings are the interests.
