*הַסְטָא, (hasta) spear. Pesik. R. suppl. (p. 197ᵃ ed. Fr.) עושה להם בסאטה בתוך הארץ (read: שולח להם ה׳ וכ׳; corresp. to ירה חצים, Pesik. Vayhi, p. 66ᵇ) he sends (or throws) a spear into their land (as a declaration of war, v. Sm. Ant. a. Luebker Reallex. s. v. Hasta).
