הַכְרָעָה, overweight.—Pl. הַכְרָעוֹת. Kerith. 5ᵃ הקב"ה יודע (ב)ה׳ the Lord takes notice of overweights (liberality) in offerings.
הַכְרָעָה, grammatical construction. Pl. as above. Cant. R. to I, 2 he might have diverted his mind מחמשה ה׳ וכ׳ by referring him to one of the five disputed constructions of Bible verses, v. preced.; (Y. Ab. Zar. II, 41ᶜ bot. השיאות). Gen. R. s. 36, end (ref. to Neh. VIII, 8, v. preced.) אלו הה׳ והראיות that means the disputed constructions and the arguments for and against; Yalk. Gen. 61.
הַכְרָעָה, casting vote, verdict by a majority of one. Y. Snh. I, 18ᵇ even arbitration in court requires הַכְרָעַת הדעת a majority of one. Ḥull. 137ᵃ אין הכרעת שלישית מכרעת (sub. דעת) a casting vote consisting of a third divergent opinion is not binding; B. Kam. 116ᵃ; Pes. 21ᵃ; Naz. 53ᵃ
