הַכֶּר, (imper. Hif. of נכר) recognize!, the word hakker. Sot. 10ᵇ בה׳ בישר וכ׳ with the word hakker (Gen. XXXVII, 32) he brought the news to his father, with hakker did they &c. (Gen. XXXVIII, 25). Gen. R. s. 85 (the account of Tamar follows that of the sale of Joseph) כדי לסמוך ה׳ לה׳ in order to let one hakker follow the other hakker.—ה׳ פנים partiality. Ex. R. s. 30 (ref. to Prov. XXIII, 23).
