(Mish. דִּרְכָאוֹת; Bab. ed. דִּירְכָ׳, Ms. M. דִּיתְּכָ׳, Ms. L. דוד׳, דיד׳; Mish. Nap. דִּירְכָיוֹת, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note). Mekh. B’shall. s. 1 דורכיות היו לו Pharaoh had guards at stations (communicating with one another).—Gen. R. s. 10; Yalk. ib. 16 [read:] הרבה להן בריצה והרבה להן בדְיָידוֹכִין he increased for them the speed (of the mail bearers), and the number of mail stations. Esth. R. to I, 1 דורכ׳ עם דורניאות וכ׳ postmen carrying gifts will be numerous &c.
