גִּירָאָה, (denom. of גִּירָא II) shooter, (Rashi:) arrow-maker. Pes. 28ᵃ (prov.) ג׳ בגִירֵיה מקטיל וכ׳ (ed. גירא, corr. acc., v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) when the shooter (arrow-maker) is killed by his own arrow, he is paid from the spinnings of his own hand.
