גָּחַן, (v. גחה) to bend. Pesik. R. s. 26 היה גוֹחֵן לארץ וכ׳ he bent down to the ground and kissed the foot-prints. Num. R. s. 4, beg. אמו גוֹחֶנֶת עליו וכ׳ his mother bends over him and lets him suck; (Tosef. Sabb. XV (XVI), 5 שוחה).—Part. pass. גָּחוּן bent. Gen. R. s. 20 שיהו מהלכין גְּחוּנִין וכ׳ (v. Yalk. ib. 31) that they walk bent (with grief) over their dead.
