גָּהַץ (cmp. גהט) to be bright, glad, willing. Gen. R. s. 39 [combine text of ed. with vers. of Ar. and read:] וא"ת שלא ג׳ אברהם ושמח על דבור המקום שאילו ג׳ ושמח למה לא יצא and if you will say, Abraham was not glad and joyful over the command of the Lord (to leave his home), for if he were so, why did he not emigrate (until he was commanded)?
