I, 142; v., however, בָּבִיתָא) reflected image in metal, water &c.; image, shadow. Ned. 9ᵇ ונסתכלתי בבב׳ שלי (Ar. with two ב, corr. acc.) and I was looking at my image (in the water); Tosef. Naz. IV, 7 (Var. בוביא); Y. Ned. I, 36ᵈ bot. בובייה; Num. R. s. 10 בוביא. Yeb. 122ᵃ ב׳ דב׳ a shadow of a shadow. Ab. Zar. 47ᵃ לב׳ קא סגיד he worships the image (in the water). Gen.
