אַשַּׁרְתָּא, אַשָּׁרָא f. (אשר) 1) legal attestation. Keth. 21ᵇ, a. e. א׳ דדייני the attestation by judges (h. אַשָּׁרַת הדיינין, v. אַשָּׁרָה). B. Bath. 163ᵃ בין עדים לא׳ (Ar. a. Ms. אשרא) the space between the signature of the witnesses and the legal attestation. —2) (cmp. אַשְּׁרָאֵי) outstanding debts for goods sold. Gitt. 14ᵃ R. S. had א׳ דסרבלי וכ׳ money outstanding in Maḥuza for garments sold.
