אַשְּׁרָאֵי, (v. אֲשַׁר Pa.) sale on trust, debts for goods sold. Pes. 113ᵃ כל א׳ וכ׳ in all sales on trust it is doubtful, whether it (the money) will be forthcoming or not, and if it is, it is bad money, (partial payment, bad coins &c).—B. Mets. 63ᵇ אית ליה א׳ וכ׳ he has debts to collect. B. Bath. 22ᵃ אית לן א׳ וכ׳ we have outstanding debts to collect (and we must stay until we have collected them).
