אַרְזְלָא, (dimin. of עֶרֶס, עַרְסָא) cradle, hammock for watchmen in gardens. Targ. Is. I, 8; XXIV, 20 (h. מלונה).—Erub. 25ᵇ דעבידא כי אר׳ Ar. (ed. אור׳; Rashi ארזי׳; Tosaf. ערס׳) the roof of the shed has the shape of a cradle, i. e both sides slanting towards the centre.
