*אִסְפְּרִיסָא, (פרס; cmp. אִסְפֶּירֶס) that which is to be split, log (h. בקעת). Lam. R. to III, 12 כבורמא לא׳ (referr. to חץ arrow, taken in the sense of חצץ to split) as a wedge for the log, i.e. the wedge (Israel) is struck but the log (the hostile nations) is split.
