אֱלָל אֱלָל, ch. m. (b. h. אֱלִל Job XIII, 4; v. אֱלִיל; cmp. הלל) soft, lax object, whence fatty substance, offal of meat. Targ. Job. l. c.—Ḥull. IX, 1 (Ib. 121ᵃ, diff. of opin. as to what kind of offal is meant in the Mish., v. מַרְדְּקָא). Ib. הא׳ המכונס the offal gathered (as a ball). Zeb. III, 4.—Toh. I, 4 אֱלִיל. Meïl. 7ᵃ א׳ כיון דלית ביה וכ׳ ălal, because there is no substantial value in it. Zeb. 35ᵃ פיגל בא׳ if one had an inappropriate thought about ălal of fowls (which is fit to eat). ערכים סמוכים
