אוֹנִי I, (אוֹנוּ) אוֹנִית f. = אוֹנָה, cmp. אוֹנִיתָא. [The phonetic coïncidence with ὠνή produced the peculiar use of our w. in connection with Greek terms, in the Palest. literature.] Gen. R. s. 2 beg. בא׳ אחת ובטימי וכ׳ in one bill of sale and for the same price. Y. Pes. IV, 31ᵇ bot. מיסתיוסיס בא׳ היא וכ׳ (read מיסתוס׳) it is a lease with a title of possession (for the term), and is (for the time being) an acquisition like a purchase. Y. Kidd.
